Posting Schedule

Below is the posting schedule for all of the fics.

If you truly and sincerely cannot post on your scheduled date then, of course, you need to let us know by commenting on this entry. However, if there is any possible way at all that you can work it out, we ask that you please keep your assigned date. Posting your story as a locked entry to your journal is a great way to work out the formatting bugs before it's the last, panicked twenty minutes of your posting day. (But make sure it's a locked entry, we don't want to see any stories floating around before their assigned date!)

When your posting date rolls around and you're finally allowed to post the master post to your fic, we'd like you to use the following format:

Feel free to add to the above format (a disclaimer, spoilers, author's notes, etc.), but please don't make the post too lengthy or cluttered. Thanks!

If you wish to post somewhere off LJ (such as AO3) you are welcome to do that. Just use the above template for your header and include a link to the fic/art

Pinch-Hitter Artist Signups

Are you one of those awesome people that do nice things constantly? Want to still contribute to deancasbigbang? Excellent! Why not take on the task of a pinch hitter?

Pinch hitters are the awesome people that step in at the last minute and create art in place of someone who had to drop out.

Pinch hitters are people that do not receive anything for their contribution but a warm feeling in their hearts and we all love them dearly for their generosity and speedy art skills. (And that's actually more than the artists who signed up and claimed a story during claims gets!)

Once you are called upon as a pinch hitter, you will need to create art within a limited amount of time. If this sounds like something you’d like to do, please fill out the information below and put it in a comment to this entry. Thanks for being awesome!

All comments are screened so your email address will not be viewable to anyone but the moderators.

All fics have now been claimed so without further ado here is a list of the author/artist pairings

All authors need to contact their artists (if they haven't already done so) in order to discuss your collaboration. It's imperative that authors send a copy of their fic to their artist asap so that work can commence. You should at least be sending the same draft that you sent to us for draft submissions and communicating any changes that come up during the editing process.

Also, you need to discuss your joint availability during the posting period and let us know any dates you can't do by replying to this post. We will be creating the schedule based upon the information you give us here, so please ensure that it is as accurate as you can be.

Posting will start on Oct 1st and run every weekday through to (potentially) the end of November.

Once again thank you for your patience while we sorted out our technical issues. We are now down to the last few prompts so if you weren't successful in your claims or you want to claim an additional fic you can do so now.

To make things easier I've listed all the available summaries below so please comment on this post with your selection(s)

All the stories have now been claimed! Please stay tuned for the master post of author/artist pairings!

Claims are now open to any artist regardless of whether you signed up or not. We still have some amazing fics up for grabs so come one come all. Claims are also now open to authors who want to do some art as well - just be sure to not claim your own fic.

If you've already claimed a fic and want another then dive right in. Just make sure you can commit to the number of fics you've claimed before taking another.

Also, authors, don't fret if you haven't been claimed yet! It's quite normal for a big bang to do 2 or 3 claim posts like this. Artists are rare and beautiful creatures, much like unicorns, and yours will come along soon enough.

Everyone will get art. That's a DCBB guarantee!

To keep things simple please comment on the original claims post with your choices

It is time! You've looked over the lists, you've picked out a couple stories you'd love to work on and now you're here to claim! But before you jump the gun and start spewing numbers at us, take a couple seconds to familiarize yourself with the mechanics of how all this works to save everyone headaches and heartbreak.

If you don't have an LJ we have allowed annonymous commenting but PLEASE provide your Tumblr name or some way for your author to identify you.

If you signed up as both an author and an artist you are not permitted to claim at this time to allow the people who only signed up as an artist to participate. We will open it up to authors during the second round of claims.

If there are still unclaimed fics this time tomorrow, artists will be welcome to make a secondary claim if they so choose! (If your fic falls into this category, don't despair! We always have more writers than artists, it's not you, it's that artist over there in the corner who decided they didn't want to sign up this year.)

Please make a note of the code/number(s) of the fics you are interested in. You will be asked to pick your top 3 in order of preference when claims go live tomorrow

AUTHORS: If you do not see your summary listed but you submitted a fic to us please email the mods ASAP.
